Client Types
Each client's needs are unique. However, these are some of the client types we have come across to help show you the importance of defining your needs.
Start-up Company (Small budget)
These clients are companies that have an idea that needs to be implemented from the ground up. These client's generally want to implement an idea for as cheap as possible and reinvest any money received back into the project. Usually, the best way to successfully accomplish this is to cut costs in one area of development. However, the goals of the company must dictate the areas where costs can be cut. Decisions must be made based on the client type and goals and not by the budget.
One area where a client can cut costs is design. Clients can choose an already existing template which will save many hours of design time. This option allows the client to choose the design and look of their website from a collection of website templates. Templates cut out the often long and expensive step of creating the look and feel of a site. Once a template is chosen, you can spend your budget on other areas of development.
If a budget is inflexible, then it may be necessary to change the project's goals. Often pruning the ultimate plan to a smaller version allow the client to meet it's budget and get a version into production. The profits from the smaller version can be used to fund the final version.
A small budget start-up company's choice of a developer is crucial to their success. Wells Ideas Inc understands that even a small budget is worth the time with the proper planning.
Start up Company (Large budget)
Generally large budget start-up companies will not hire a consultant company to do every aspect of their site. However, they will bring in consultants to make recommendations in one area. These areas include project viability, user interface design, search engine optimization, or database design. Wells Ideas Inc. has experience in each of these areas.
Informational Websites
Informational websites are existing companies that are looking to provide information to current or potential customers. They may or may not already have a web presence and are looking to build a site or enhance their present one. An informational site can have several needs including hosting, content management, design, site testing, usability reports, focus groups and search engine optimization. Wells Ideas Inc can help you decide which areas should receive the most attention based on your goals.
Data Sharing
This client is looking to use the internet as a way to share information throughout their company. An internal website allows a company to clearly define expectations, update employees, and provide quick, reliable communication in an efficient, cost effective manner.
Lead Generation
Lead Generation clients are sales-based companies that are looking to use the internet as a tool to gather leads and gain potential clients. This client is looking for web design, search engine optimization, and data management. Wells will maximize this clients web-earning potential.
Internet Guru
Other web designers and developers are often in need of help while working on a product. Using Wells as a source offers our colleagues the use of our staff on a consultant basis. This is often cost-effective and time-saving. We can help in the areas of user interface, focus groups, data management, database design, and project viability.
